The most popular annual event that SWC sponsors, the Run/Walk at UCLA is a 5K fundraiser that increases the widespread visibility and support for the Mattel Children’s Hospital at UCLA. Originally called The Children’s Walk for Life, this student-run event has been a phenomenal success throughout UCLA and the greater Los Angeles Community for the past eight years. The hospital’s Child Life/Child Development Program sponsors activities, movies, books, and games to provide children with holistic care, fun, and encouragement during their difficult stay at the hospital.
