EARTH

Formerly known as SWC Recycling Committee, EARTH (Environmental Awareness, Recycling, and Terrestrial Health) promotes sustainability in student lifestyles because we believe that student wellness stems from living in a clean environment. We educate students on environmental issues and put on activities and programs that promote reusing materials, reducing consumption, and recycling waste. Some of our activities include:

-Themed craft nights for students to learn how to turn trash into treasures

-Flower-potting programs for students to decorate a flower pot to take back to their dorm room or apartment to enjoy

-Sponsoring recycling drives in the residence halls

-Coordinate UCLA’s celebration of Earth Day in April with other environmental groups on campus.

- And we brainstorm new ideas for programs every quarter!
